Timed with the film “Air,” eBay opened a shop featuring the greatest collection of Air Jordans ever assembled.
Background
The movie “Air” would debut in April 2023, telling the story of Nike’s historic signing of Michael Jordan as a rookie and the birth of the Air Jordan brand. Since eBay has more sneakers from the early Jordan era than any platform on the planet - from vintage and game-worn pairs to modern reissues – a global campaign was launched to highlight this unparalleled inventory and moment in time.
What we did
eBay opened The ’85 Shop, a physical storefront in Chicago featuring the greatest collection of Air Jordan 1s ever put together, which created a shoppable timeline for sneaker and basketball fans. Inventory was curated by eBay’s top sneakers sellers, including Jordan Geller of ShoeZeum who served as a consultant and provided many of the shoes and memorabilia featured in the new “Air” film.
