For years, Memorial Day was the biggest car-selling weekend in America. Yet in 2023 with post-pandemic shortages, spiking interest rates, and dealerships cutting incentives, fewer people saw the value in buying new. eBay Motors had an opportunity to reward drivers for keeping their current cars on the road.
What we did
eBay showed people how to keep the rides they already have running longer by renewing them with eBay Guaranteed Fit parts and accessories (P&As) – a new offering from eBay. On Memorial Day weekend, enthusiasts came to the Renew Your Ride garage in Atlanta and received free consultations on how to keep their cars driving like new. They left with $200 eBay gift certificates to spend on P&As. On site, renowned builders showcased the power of what’s possible when you renew with eBay’s 122 million parts.
