Luxe Line
A mobile concierge service that demonstrates the ease of eBay’s consignment offering by allowing buyers and sellers to drop off their luxury goods, and pick up new ones in a single convenient stop.
Background
In the luxury marketplace, consignment can be one of the biggest hassles for consumers. But eBay’s new consignment service makes it easier than ever for consumers to appraise, sell, and buy luxury goods online. It was time to spread the word about eBay’s hassle-free consignment experience, far and wide.
What we did
To mark the launch of eBay’s new luxury consignment service, eBay rolled out The Luxe Line. This mobile concierge service demonstrated the ease of consigning with eBay, and brought it straight to the doorsteps of luxe-lovers in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Guests tapped into their “closet currency” bringing items to consign, then received credits to shop eBay’s luxury handbags, jewelry and watches onsite or online. Fashion icon and longtime eBay lover, Jenna Lyons offered pieces straight from her closet for the launch, with 100% of the auction proceeds going to charity.
Jenna Lyons
Fashion designer, television personality and longtime eBay shopper, Jenna Lyons has one of today’s most famous closets, teeming with items amassed over the past 20 years. Luxury shoppers were given a chance to shop these luxury handbags, outerwear, clothing, and shoes, straight from her personal collection, with all proceeds benefiting Doctors Without Borders.
