Background
eBay launched its Certified Refurbished service, guaranteeing shoppers with expertly refurbished, 100% functional, and warranty covered tech, appliances, and other equipment. As the global population entered a post-pandemic world, it seemed this new eBay service might be particularly useful for couples, as many spent an excess amount of time together during lockdown. With nearly half of all married people wishing they could redo their wedding registry, eBay tailored the announcement of this exciting new service to couples who emerged from lockdown even stronger.
What we did
Refurb Registry was a first-of-its-kind gift registry built from eBay’s all-new Certified Refurbished service. Designed to help couples strengthen their relationships in the post-pandemic world, the registry offered a ‘relationship refurb’ by equipping partners with much-needed items like countertop pressure cookers and robot vacuums. At launch, eBay partnered with comedy's favorite couple and self-appointed relationship experts, Natasha Leggero and Moshe Kasher. To take part in the Refurb Registry, couples created their own registry to be shared with family and friends. Plus, they entered for a chance to have all their chosen items gifted to them by eBay.
